Nicole Kidman<\/strong><\/a> is remaining optimistic despite her ongoing divorce from Keith Urban<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s something to knowing that no matter how painful, or how difficult, or how devastating something is, there is a way through,\u201d the actress, 58, said in an interview with Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/em><\/a> published on Thursday, October 9. \u201cYou\u2019re going to have to feel it. You\u2019re not going to be able to numb it. You are going to have to feel it, and it\u2019s going to feel insurmountable at times. You\u2019re going to feel like you\u2019re broken, but if you move gently and slowly \u2014 and it can take an enormous amount of time \u2014 it does pass.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kidman added that the \u201cbest part\u201d about getting older is the \u201cexperiences\u201d you accumulate and the lessons they provide.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo you go, \u2018Oh, I\u2019ve been here before. I actually know how to handle this now,\u2019\u201d she explained. \u201cOr, \u2018Maybe I haven\u2019t been in this place, but I\u2019ve experienced something similar to this, and I do know that I will get through it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNicole Kidman and Keith Urban were \u201cworking\u201d on their marriage years before splitting up, according to the Oscar-winning actress. Kidman, 58, opened up about their partnership in an interview for the September 2021 issue of Harper\u2019s Bazaar, telling the magazine, \u201cWe\u2019re always working through stuff, but it\u2019s very much love-based, so there\u2019s an enormous amount [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As Kidman has gotten older, she\u2019s not afraid to be candid about her life experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to be able to share and impart the things I\u2019ve learned. I\u2019ve seen a lot, I\u2019ve experienced a lot, and I\u2019ve survived a lot,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cI want to pass on some of that knowledge and that wisdom and whatever I\u2019ve learned.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Kidman doesn\u2019t want to tell \u201cpeople what to do,\u201d she\u2019s \u201cmore than happy\u201d to pass along her knowledge.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople can take tidbits, because we all know you tell somebody to do something, and they\u2019re going to do what they want to do anyway,\u201d she continued. \u201cThat\u2019s true, right? So it\u2019s more about sharing your own experiences, saying this is what I\u2019ve learned, take from it what you will.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for what\u2019s keeping her motivated, Kidman gushed that she\u2019s \u201cgrateful\u201d to be \u201calive.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m grateful to be a part of this world. I\u2019m grateful to be surviving as a woman, as an actress, and as a producer, professionally and personally,\u201d she reflected. \u201cAlso, my children [give me the] purpose of being their protector and their guide, promising them that I\u2019m here and that, no matter what, there\u2019s always a safe place to grow up in.\u201d<\/p>\n
