Madison Beer has dropped a new single, \u201cBittersweet.\u201d The pensive track follows her recent release \u201cYes, Baby,\u201d<\/a> which she shared in September.<\/p>\n \u201cNow that it\u2019s over, you blame it all on me,\u201d she croons on the song. \u201cI know I should be bitter, but baby\/ Right now I\u2019m bittersweet\/ I\u2019m getting over what you put me through\/ And I\u2019d say I\u2019m done crying, but baby\/ I don\u2019t lie like you do.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201c\u2019Bittersweet\u2019 is about the end of a chapter and the difficulty of coming to terms with it, while also recognizing that deep down you know it\u2019s for the best\u2014and finding peace in that along the journey,\u201d Beer explained in a statement.<\/p>\n \u201cYes, Baby\u201d and \u201cBittersweet\u201d mark Beer\u2019s return to music in 2025. Prior to the new songs, her last\u00a0single, \u201c15 Minutes,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0dropped in July 2024.\u00a0Several months prior to that, in February,\u00a0she released<\/a>\u00a0\u201cMake You Mine,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0which would go on to earn a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording earlier this year. (The song ultimately lost out to Charli XCX\u2019s \u201cVon Dutch.\u201d)<\/p>\n A press release for \u201cYes Baby\u201d said more music from Beer would be arriving \u201csooner than you think,\u201d suggesting the singles may mark the start of a new album cycle.\u00a0Beer\u2019s\u00a0most recent LP,\u00a0Silence Between Songs<\/em><\/a>, was released in 2023, and she spent much of last year on her\u00a0\u201cSpinnin Tour\u201d<\/a>\u00a0in support of the album.<\/p>\n The singer is set to perform at the Victoria\u2019s Secret Fashion Show in New York City on Oct. 15.
