Country music star Cody Johnson has canceled his remaining 2025 tour dates due to an emergency surgery.<\/p>\n
The musician shared the news in a statement released on X.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt is with a very heavy heart I have to share the remainder of this year\u2019s concert performances will not be able to happen,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cWhile battling a severe upper respiratory and sinus infection, I burst my eardrum. The severity of the rupture means I must undergo immediate surgery. The healing process will take many weeks, and it is not possible for me to sing during this time.\u201d<\/p>\n Johnson had six concerts remaining this year, all in arenas or music festivals, including an Oct. 18 show in Pittsburgh. <\/p>\n \u201cPlease stay tuned for an email from your ticket providers for further details,\u201d a message on Johnson\u2019s website now reads regarding the canceled tour dates.<\/p>\n Johnson shared a video<\/a> on Tuesday after his surgery, where he updated fans on his condition. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m home from surgery, it went well, as best as they could have expected,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The musician was nominated for four Country Music Association awards<\/a> this year, including Entertainer of the Year. But it was unclear whether he would be able to attend the Nov. 19 ceremony due to his surgery. <\/p>\n For now, Johnson\u2019s next scheduled concert date<\/a> is Feb. 14, 2026 at KFC YUM! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
