Netflix revealed that production on the highly anticipated fourth edition of the show has begun, and things are about to get darker as new characters come into play. The streaming platform revealed that Ella Beatty will be portraying Borden in the upcoming series, while Charlie Hunnam will return for the next installment as Andrew Borden.<\/p>\n
The filming has officially begun in Los Angeles for the fourth season of Monster, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. Until now, all the seasons of the crime anthology series have focused on male serial killers such as Jeffrey Dahmer, Erik and Lyle Menendez, and Ed Gein. However, the makers are going in a new direction for the fourth season and will be tackling the brutal murder case that shocked the entire world. In the upcoming season, the story will dive deeper into the bone-chilling story of Lizzie Borden, the woman who was accused of killing her father and stepmother with an axe in 1892.<\/p>\n
Apart from Beatty and Hunnam, the supporting cast includes Vicky Krieps, who will play the role of Borden’s live-in maid, Bridget Sullivan, and Rebecca Hall as Borden’s stepmother, Abby Borden. The news of Season 4 going into production comes almost a week after the third season of Monster, The Ed Gein Story, made its way to Netflix. Although the series opened to mixed reviews, viewers are flocking in large numbers to watch it. As per Netflix, the third season, which tells the story of the infamous serial killer and body snatcher Ed Gein, garnered 12.2 million views in the first three days of release. Moreover, the series is currently #1 in 11 countries, continuing to prove why true crime stories continue to remain a force to be reckoned with among audiences globally.<\/p>\n
