It\u2019s been two months since Kelly Clarkson\u2019s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away<\/a>. He died at the age of 48 after a battle with melanoma. Now, the 43-year-old pop star is subtly signaling to fans that she\u2019s moving forward.<\/p>\n In an Oct. 8 Instagram post<\/a>, Clarkson shared a panoramic snapshot of her Las Vegas residency, Studio Sessions. <\/em>She was standing onstage singing before a large crowd with scores of illuminated phone screens. She wrote in the caption, \u201cVEGAS! We\u2019re back in one month, who\u2019s joining us?\u201d Clarkson and her band are set to return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning Nov. 7 for a two-weekend run.<\/p>\n More from SheKnows<\/strong><\/p>\n It is a stark contrast from her Aug. 6 post<\/a>, where she abruptly canceled the \u201cremainder of the August Studio Session<\/em>s dates in Las Vegas.\u201d She wrote to her fans, \u201cWhile I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children\u2019s father has been ill<\/a>, and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows, and I so appreciate your grace, kindness, and understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans understood her desire to be with daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9, in their time of need. That family emergency became very clear when Blackstock\u2019s representative announced to People <\/a><\/em>on Aug. 7: \u201cIt is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family\u2019s privacy during this very difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n Clarkson returned to taping Season 29 of The Voice<\/em> after a short hiatus, and the season premiere of The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em> debuted on Monday, Sept. 29.
