The hosts of \u201cThe View\u201d defended country artist Zach Bryan on Friday morning, after the singer faced backlash for lyrics in his new song that called out ICE.<\/p>\n
In Bryan\u2019s song \u201cBad News,\u201d he sings \u201cICE is gonna come bust down your door, trying to build a house no one builds no more, but I got a telephone. Kids are all scared and all alone.\u201d Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has since called the song \u201ccompletely disrespectful,\u201d but the women of \u201cThe View\u201d fully disagreed.<\/p>\n
More from TheWrap<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cHe didn\u2019t say anything offensive about ICE,\u201d Ana Navarro argued. \u201cHe said ICE is going to come and bust down your door. We\u2019ve all seen them do that! He said kids are all scared and all alone. We have seen that!\u201d<\/p>\n Host Sara Haines agreed, arguing that Bryan\u2019s lyrics were just observing current events.<\/p>\n \u201cArtists have always sung about the world around us, what they see,\u201d she said. \u201cHe\u2019s not taking a stance.\u201d<\/p>\n Both Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out that Bryan is a military veteran himself, which they argued means he clearly loves his country.
