However, while talking about the movie, he acknowledged how the role gave him a chance to play a parent, something he had never done before.<\/p>\n Powell told Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, \u201cI would say a big part of my identity, a big part of who I am, is that gear of feeling like an uncle, feeling and caring for my family to a monumental degree, in which it wasn\u2019t a far stretch for my imagination of how far I would go for that little girl.\u201d<\/p>\n However, the Anyone But You star soon realized that he had someone in his life who looked up to him as a father.
