The Weeknd<\/a> has enlisted filmmaker Gaspar No\u00e9<\/a> to direct the new music video for his Hurry Up Tomorrow<\/a> <\/em>collaboration with Giorgio Moroder, \u201cBig Sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n The video prominently features No\u00e9\u2019s signature strobe effects and begins with a warning for photosensitive viewers. And though the visuals start calmly enough, with an old man puttering through a deserted city, the flashing blue, green, and red lights inject a jolt of madness that\u2019s pushed into the surreal as the man confronts giant statue heads of the Weeknd and Moroder floating above the city.<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n The Weeknd released Hurry Up Tomorrow<\/em> back in January, with the album completing the trilogy that began with 2020\u2019s After Hours<\/a> <\/em>and 2022\u2019s Dawn FM<\/a><\/em>. Along with Moroder, Hurry Up Tomorrow <\/em>featured collaborations with Playboi Carti, Justice, Anitta, Travis Scott, Florence and the Machine, Future, and Lana Del Rey.<\/p>\n Hurry Up Tomorrow <\/em>was also accompanied by a feature film of the same name<\/a>. It starred the Weeknd (under his real name, Abel Tesfaye) alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan.<\/p>\n Ahead of the arrival of Hurry Up Tomorrow,<\/em> Tesfaye revealed that this would be his last album under the Weeknd moniker<\/a>. Speaking with Variety<\/a><\/em>, he explained, \u201cIt\u2019s a headspace I\u2019ve gotta get into that I just don\u2019t have any more desire for. You have a persona, but then you have the competition of it all. It becomes this rat race: more accolades, more success, more shows, more albums, more awards, and more Number Ones. It never ends until you end it.\u201d<\/p>\n For now, though, Tesfaye still has a bit more work to do as the Weeknd.
