AMC made a royal proclamation during its panel for Anne Rice\u2019s Immortal Universe at New York Comic Con on Friday: Akasha is coming to Interview With the Vampire<\/em> in Season 3.<\/p>\n The character, famously portrayed by the late, great Aaliyah in 2002\u2019s Queen of the Damned<\/em>, will be brought to life in Season 3 (aka The Vampire Lestat<\/em>) by Sheila Atim, who recently appeared alongside Viola Davis in The Woman King<\/em>. In Anne Rice lore, Akasha is known as the progenitor of all vampires.<\/p>\n More from TVLine<\/strong><\/p>\n Watch an extended trailer for The Vampire Lestat<\/em>, premiering sometime in 2026, below:<\/p>\n Additional casting announcements included Noah Reid (Schitt\u2019s Creek<\/em>) as Larry, Ryan Kattner (the show\u2019s music supervisor!) as Salamander, Seamus Patterson (Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Cabinet of Curiosities<\/em>) as Alex and Sarah Swire (The Boys<\/em>) as TC.<\/p>\n Speaking of the Immortal Universe, AMC also released a scene from the upcoming premiere of Talamasca: The Secret Order<\/em>, which joins the family on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 9\/8c.
