Ella Langley has announced the release of her new single, \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d scheduled for Friday, October 17th. The song, co-written with Miranda Lambert, has become a feature of Ella\u2019s live shows on various tour dates this summer.<\/p>\n

Langley and Lambert wrote the track during a writer\u2019s retreat last fall. According to Langley, the collaboration began with an anecdote from Lambert about a former partner who maintained Texas vehicle plates. The song\u2019s chorus includes the line: \u201cHe\u2019s choosin\u2019 Texas, I can tell.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the Durant show, Langley shared, \u201cyou know Miranda\u2019s from Texas. She said she did something crazy or silly or who knows what Miranda did. She\u2019s like, \u2018Of course, I have Texas plates on the back of my vehicle. And I said, \u2018Well, I\u2019m sure he was like, \u2018She\u2019s from Texas, I can tell.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Langley debuted the single at live shows, including the Live At The Station festival in College Station, Texas, and Choctaw Music Fest in Durant, Oklahoma, on October 10th. At the Oklahoma event, she officially revealed it as the lead single from her upcoming album.<\/p>\n

Langley received five Academy of Country Music Awards and six Country Music Association nominations this year. She canceled some summer dates due to health issues.<\/p>\n
