Ryan Reynolds<\/a> and Rob Mac<\/a><\/strong>, the creators of Welcome to Wrexham<\/a><\/strong>, had once gone to great lengths to make Celebrity Traitors<\/a> star Charlotte Church<\/strong> a part of their docuseries. The FX show captures how the duo has turned Wrexham A.F.C.<\/a> into a football success story, as well as the rise of the Welsh community.<\/p>\n The Wrexham A.F.C. owners invited the Welsh singer and actress to feature on the first season of Welcome to Wrexham. This was for a segment that showcased the Welsh culture. She performed the songs, \u201cMen of Harlech,\u201d and the national anthem, \u201cHen Wlad Fy Nhadau.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Charlotte Church revealed recently how Ryan Reynolds and Robert McElhenney, AKA Rob Mac, flew her over to New York for the filming just so they could include her touch. To do so, they even brought along her three children so that she has nothing to worry about.<\/p>\n The Celebrity Traitors alumna recently recalled the whole thing on the Dish podcast<\/a>. She explained, \u201cHe [Reynolds] flew me and my kids out to New York because they were doing the show about Wrexham, and I went, and I sang the national anthem, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau. The kids were like, \u2018It\u2019s Ryan Reynolds; we have to go.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSo I was like, \u2018I\u2019m a working mum; unfortunately, you\u2019re going to have to bring all three of my children out,\u2019 and they were like, \u2018Yeah, sure, fine,\u2019\u201d Church continued. \u201cThey got to meet him and Rob McElhenney, and they were delicious. They were so kind, and they\u2019re so lovely. I think what they\u2019re doing for Wales \u2013 in terms of Wrexham and stuff \u2013 it\u2019s really genuine.\u201d<\/p>\n Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac had taken over Wrexham A.F.C. in 2021, and since then, their investment in it has resulted in changing the professional football club\u2019s fortune and recognition in the town.
