Just more than a month after going social media official with Emily Deahl, the country music star shard the news with a joint Instagram post to both of their accounts that featured Rucker down on his knee asking for her hand in marriage. <\/p>\n
\u201cThank you for showing me a level of happiness I have never known,\u201d Rucker wrote.<\/b><\/a> \u201cThe day I met you I knew I didn\u2019t want to go another one without you. Now I don\u2019t have to.\u201d<\/p>\n Deahl explained to her Instagram followers why she has not shared much about Rucker there.<\/p>\n \u201cI never intended on keeping this part of my life from you guys for so long, but somewhere along the way of loving him I discovered how sacred love is to me,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAnd all I wanted to do was protect it.<\/p>\n \u201cBut damn I\u2019m glad I don\u2019t have to spend the time photoshopping him out of every photo now.\u201d<\/p>\n Rucker was previously married to Beth Leonard from 2000 to 2020.<\/p>\n Rucker is a native of South Carolina, and Taste of Country said that Deahl is also a South Carolina native who \u201cidentifies as a singer, songwriter and content creator.\u201d<\/p>\n Rucker is 59 and Deahl is 33, and while most fans supported him when he first went Instagram official with her last month, a few took shots at the age difference. <\/p>\n \u201cHappiness looks good on ya!\u201d Justin Wheelon wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cBeautiful,\u201d another wrote. \u201c\u2019I only wanna be with you\u2019 rings true here.\u201d<\/p>\n And then there were the haters.<\/p>\n \u201cReally???\u201d one person replied. \u201cLooks a little young for you.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIs that his daughter?\u201d another wondered. \u201cWhere are the boys?\u201d<\/p>\n If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
