That\u2019s what happened to Candiace Dillard Bassett<\/span> <\/strong>during a segment on Fox 5\u2019s Good Day DC. The Real Housewives of Potomac<\/strong><\/span> alum showed up to promote her new podcast and to dish on her life as a new mom, but the breaking news about Wendy Osefo<\/span><\/strong> and Eddie Osefo\u2019s<\/span><\/strong> arrest threw the segment into a tailspin. I am shocked. I am sad.\u201d<\/p>\n The allegations stem from the Osefos report of a 2024 home burglary<\/a>, where they claimed their thieves made off with thousands of dollars in luxury goods. Of course, they\u2019re innocent until proven guilty, but Candiace suggested that perhaps they\u2019ve become a target due to the thriving Happy Eddie cannabis line<\/a>. She also referenced Karen Huger\u2019s<\/span> recent jail time, suggesting that someone might be \u201cout to get the girls.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe know that the Osefos have a very successful marijuana business. They\u2019re providing jobs and opportunities for people of color in the DMV area, so my first thought is, are they being targeted? Is this something that we should be thinking about?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI know her family, and I\u2019m heartbroken,\u201d she continued. \u201cI have chills. I\u2019m shaking because I can\u2019t imagine.\u201d<\/p>\n In the meantime, the Osefos have asked for privacy<\/a> as they navigate their legal drama.
