Although James Gunn admits it would&#8217;ve been extremely difficult to pull off, he has stated that he was at least in talks with Ryan Reynolds. While many fans think this is completely unrealistic, it wouldn&#8217;t be the only time Deadpool has collaborated with DC this year. Sadly, it seems that the collaboration will never come to fruition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Peacemaker Season 2 is one of the most ambitious projects in the new DCU. It is a fantastic continuation of Peacemaker&#8217;s story and cements him as an important character for the coming films. Gunn has even stated that the 11th Street Kids will each have integral roles to play in the next Superman film, Man of Tomorrow. In an official storyline that absolutely no one expected, Deadpool is actually working with the Caped Crusader. Thus far, the collaboration has been extremely well received. Therefore, it wouldn&#8217;t be a stretch if Deadpool actually dipped his toe into the MCU. After all, Peacemaker Season 2 did already reference Spider-Man during the scene where Vigilante meets himself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Without spoilers, Peacemaker Season 2 had an astounding ending, even without the Merc With a Mouth. Nevertheless, a Deadpool appearance would have caused the episode to become infamous. While it is likely to remain a critically acclaimed episode, it didn&#8217;t break industry standards as was supposedly planned. Even if the collaboration was stopped due to an exceedingly large amount of red tape, it is still a good thought.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Overall, no one expected the rumor about Deadpool appearing in Peacemaker to hold any traction. However, James Gunn has confirmed that he did reach out to the Deadpool star about the idea.
