Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left distracted as Movie Week kicked off on Saturday evening (October 11).<\/p>\n

Before the celebrities and their professional partners took to the famous dancefloor, the BBC<\/a> show introduced Cynthia Erivo as the Hollywood star becomes first-ever guest mentor.<\/p>\n

A video tape dedicated to Cynthia, who is famed for playing Elphaba in the movie Wicked, flashed up on-screen before the professionals did an epic performance to a Wicked-themed dance to As Long As You\u2019re Mine.<\/p>\n

Cynthia has joined the Strictly judging panel for Movie Week, but will only comment on performances and not score<\/p>\n

However, Strictly viewers were left comparing the opening sequence to the opening titles of rival reality show, The X-Factor.<\/p>\n

Taking to X, one Strictly fan wrote: “What was that intro for Cynthia?? it’s giving X Factor icl #strictly,” while a second asked: “Obsessed with that X Factor style intro for Cynthia #BBCStrictly #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly.”<\/p>\n

A third chimed in: “What\u2019s the 2010 X Factor intro about #Strictly,” as another stated: “Why is this Cynthia Erivo intro giving peak X Factor omggggg I love it #Strictly.”<\/p>\n

Stefan Dennis has been forced to pull out of this week’s live show after falling ill.<\/p>\n

The news was announced on last night’s It Takes Two while the BBC<\/a> show released a statement, which read: “Due to illness over the past few days, Stefan Dennis has been advised by doctors to rest and , as a result, he will not dance this weekend.<\/p>\n

“In lines with the rules of Strictly, Stefan and Dianne will receive a bye through to next week when they will hopefully be able to dance again.”<\/p>\n

Ahead of the live show, bookmakers had Ross King as the favourite to be eliminated next.<\/p>\n

The TV presenter has been dealt a crushing blow as he found himself at 10\/11 to be sent packing on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Chris Robshaw could be in danger at 6\/4 for the boot, while Stefan Dennis (8\/1) is the only other name priced shorter than 14\/1 for an exit this weekend.<\/p>\n

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s bad news for Ross heading into this weekend’s Strictly… punters reckon he’s next in line for the boot.”<\/p>\n

Strictly’s results show airs Sunday, October 12, at 7:15pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
