The death of acclaimed actress Diane Keaton<\/a>, who starred in \u201cAnnie Hall\u201d and \u201cThe Godfather,\u201d has been met with grief and shock.<\/p>\n Keaton\u2019s death was confirmed to celebrity.land by Dori Rath, a producer who worked on several of her most recent films. No cause of death was provided and celebrity.land has reached out to her representatives for comment.<\/p>\n Charles Miers, the publisher of Rizzoli, which published Keaton\u2019s 2024 book \u201cFashion First\u201d about her life and unique style, wrote in a statement, \u201cShe was herself at all times and in all ways: extremely thoughtful, very funny, generous to a fault, always energetically hardworking, and just plain true to people in the best possible ways.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe are so honored to have worked with her, proud of the books we still have but so sad not to be working on another with her and her contagious enthusiasm,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n The actor Ben Stiller remembered Keaton as \u201cone of the greatest film actors ever\u201d and \u201can icon of style, humor and comedy\u201d in a post on X.<\/a><\/p>\n Kimberly Williams Paisley, who co-starred with Keaton in the 1991 film \u201cFather of the Bride,\u201d wrote, \u201cDiane, working with you will always be one of the highlights of my life,\u201d in a post on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n Actress Bette Midler wrote Keaton\u2019s death made her \u201cunbearably sad\u201d in a post on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cShe was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star,\u201d she said of Keaton.<\/p>\n Midler co-starred with Keaton in the 1996 comedy \u201cThe First Wives Club,\u201d where the two, alongside Goldie Hawn, played divorc\u00e9es seeking revenge on their ex-husbands.<\/p>\n
