(KTLA) \u2014 Actor and singer Darius McCrary, best known for playing Eddie Winslow on the \u201990s hit sitcom \u201cFamily Matters,\u201d was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol on Oct. 5 for an out-of-state warrant, according to reports from People<\/a> and TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

McCrary, 49, is being held without bail in a San Diego jail, according to court information obtained by both outlets. McCrary\u2019s representative Ann Barlow told TMZ his arrest warrant out of Michigan was due to a missed court appearance related to failure to pay child support.<\/p>\n

McCrary was previously arrested for failure to pay child support in 2015<\/a> and in 2023<\/a>. The actor\u2019s 2017 divorce from former Harlem Globetrotter Tammy Brawner also brought about legal issues for McCrary, as Brawner was given full custody of the couple\u2019s daughter Zoey. In order to receive visitation, he was ordered to attend drug and alcohol abuse and a batterer intervention program, which aims to address abusive behavior, according to People.<\/p>\n

Nexstar reached out to McCrary\u2019s representative but did not immediately hear back.<\/p>\n

McCrary\u2019s first court date is scheduled for Oct. 15.<\/p>\n
