After weeks of speculation that he\u2019d been fired from Sirius XM for being \u201ctoo woke,\u201d Howard Stern<\/strong> is finally speaking out.<\/p>\n During an appearance on Sirius XM\u2019s Andy Cohen Live<\/em> Friday, October 10, the 71-year-old radio host laughed off viral reports<\/a> claiming he\u2019d been fired from the station for his political views.<\/p>\n \u201cI was on vacation and the next thing I know I was in Stephen Colbert<\/strong> Land where I was being thrown off by the FCC somehow,\u201d Stern joked to host Andy Cohen<\/strong> per Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t know whatever it was or because I\u2019m too woke. Too woke? I don\u2019t even know what a woke is. What is woke?\u201d<\/p>\n Stern continued with his trademark sarcasm, adding, \u201cThe fact that if I\u2019m too woke \u2014 the world has turned upside down. I mean, holy s**t, the stuff I do and talk about, I don\u2019t even know what that means. But you know what? If it means I\u2019m awakened, God bless.\u201d Cohen chimed in that being \u201cwoke\u201d might just mean \u201cyou care about other people,\u201d to which Stern agreed, saying, \u201cYeah, I mean, it\u2019s suddenly not macho to give a f**k about anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n The longtime broadcaster also used the opportunity to shut down the firing rumors once and for all. \u201cIf that works out, great. I love this company. I do,\u201d he said of Sirius XM. \u201cWhen I signed on, I think it was 200,000 subscribers. XM was killing us. And my dream, just like when I used to go to s****y radio stations, \u2018Let\u2019s f**king win.\u2019 And now today, there\u2019s this robust company, and I\u2019m very proud of it.
