Journey’s Jonathan Cain<\/a><\/strong> is looking ahead after announcing his plans to wrap up his long-running career with the iconic group.<\/p>\n Cain, who joined the band in 1981 and helped co-write “Don’t Stop Believin’,” shared in an interview on The Strang Report<\/a> last week (Oct. 2) that he believes that he’ll say goodbye to Journey after an upcoming farewell tour.<\/p>\n “We go on the Journey tour in 2026, our farewell Journey tour, so I’ll be saying goodbye to that,” Cain said on the podcast, adding that he will most likely move into ministry and worship music.<\/p>\n The announcement seemed to be news to bandmate Neal Schon<\/strong>, who took to social media to share Cain’s comments \u2014 and clarify that Journey had no plans to stop touring.<\/p>\n “Jonathan Cain announced his farewell to Journey tonight. I’m nowhere near done!
