The public is invited to enjoy some live music on the campus of Slippery Rock University this upcoming week.<\/p>\n
First, a Wind Ensemble performance is set for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Swope Music Hall. This group, including saxophone, has prepared five diverse pieces for the concert.<\/p>\n
Then, on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. the SRU Jazz Ensemble will present a 50th<\/sup> Anniversary Concert in the Performing Arts Center\u2019s Miller Theater with pieces that highlight significant memories in the history of the group as well as two former directors.<\/p>\n General admission tickets for either of these shows can be purchased online for $10 as well as $5 for SRU students.<\/p>\n Also on Saturday, the SRU Music Department is welcoming families with kids age 8 and younger for the first in a Free Family Music Series at the Swope Music Building at 10 a.m. \u00a0This week, SRU students will lead a program with a theme of Sing, Move, Play, Halloween.
