Celebrity Traitors<\/a> star Paloma Faith<\/a> has revealed how she once suspected that Alan Carr<\/a> \u2018leaked\u2019 details of her breakup to the press.<\/p>\n

The Only Love Can Hurt Like This singer, 44, became the first of the Faithful to die<\/a> after being targeted by comedian and long-time friend Alan.<\/p>\n

Alan and fellow traitors Jonathan Ross<\/a> and Cat Burns had been tasked with committing their first murder in plain sight.<\/p>\n

This led to Alan, 49, \u2018poisoning\u2019 Paloma with the deadly pollen of a black lily<\/a> which had been placed in Ardross Castle.<\/p>\n

Despite apparently surviving the night, Paloma was placed in a coffin during the next day\u2019s prize-building task and carried away.<\/p>\n

With Paloma apparently seething over Alan\u2019s \u2018betrayal,\u2019 <\/a>an old conversation between the pair has resurfaced \u2013 in which she reveals how she once suspected him of leaking details of a breakup to the press.<\/p>\n

In a clip from their Mad, Sad and Bad podcast<\/a>, Paloma sat down for a conversation with pal Alan.<\/p>\n

As they discussed the subject of celebrity gossip, Alan said: \u2018I gossip about people all the time.\u2019 <\/p>\n

To which Paloma replied: \u2018You think it\u2019s okay?\u2019<\/p>\n

Alan said: \u2018I don\u2019t like people\u2026 I mean, I\u2019m a pure hypocrite. I love gossiping, but I hate people gossiping about me. I\u2019m a complete gossip hypocrite.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018So you do sort of think it\u2019s bad, but it\u2019s a guilty pleasure?\u2019 Paloma asked.<\/p>\n

With Alan wriggling on the hook, she added: \u2018Do you remember when I called you, we went out one night, we went to the Halloween<\/a> party, and the next day it was in the paper that my relationship had ended, but I hadn\u2019t told anyone.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018It was not me! You know it wasn\u2019t me!\u2019 Alan protested.<\/p>\n

\u2018But do you remember I called you and asked if you knew, if you\u2019d mentioned it by accident, you were like no, no, no,\u2019 Paloma continued.<\/p>\n

Realising the trap had been sprung, Alan joked: \u2018Oh, now you\u2019ve lured me in saying \u201care you a gossip?\u201d And I\u2019ve gone \u201cyeah\u201d, and you\u2019ve gone \u201cyeah, because someone\u2019s gossiping about me!\u201d\u2018 <\/p>\n

\u2018No!\u2019 Paloma protested, in a fit of laughter.<\/p>\n

\u2018This is a trap, Pam! Start the car, let\u2019s get out of here!\u2019 laughed Alan.<\/p>\n

This clip has resurfaced in the wake of Alan\u2019s dastardly murder of Paloma in this week\u2019s Celebrity Traitors.<\/p>\n

In the wake of her death, Paloma addressed the betrayal on spin-off show Traitors: Uncloaked.<\/p>\n

\u2018These are like three of my favourite people that I was sure\u2026 I hope they never call me again,\u2019 Paloma grumbled.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bang out of order. Bang out of order. I feel really even more betrayed now. I feel betrayed by Jonathan and Alan.\u2019<\/p>\n

However, a source has hinted that Paloma\u2019s sour reaction is all part of the game.<\/p>\n

\u2018Paloma\u2019s sad to be out first from Celebrity Traitors but is keen to carry on the game,\u2019 an insider told The Sun<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018She\u2019s been making digs at Alan on social media<\/a> to keep up the pretence that she\u2019s still a Faithful at war with a Traitor, but of course, the pair are still incredibly firm friends.<\/p>\n

\u2018Both of them have been in the business long enough to know not to take anything in showbiz seriously.\u2019<\/p>\n

Celebrity Traitors returns next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC<\/a> One and is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
