Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau thought they were going to keep their reported romance under wraps, but some arm ink<\/a> gave them away.<\/p>\n The 40-year-old pop star and the 53-year-old former Canadian prime minister were spotted this week on a yacht adventure off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. The Mail on Sunday<\/a><\/em> published snapshots of the duo in the middle of a steamy make-out session<\/a>. They were on board Perry\u2019s yacht, the Caravelle \u2014 she wore a sleek, black one-piece, and Trudeau was shirtless with a pair of jeans on.<\/p>\n More from SheKnows<\/strong><\/p>\n An eyewitness from a whale-watching boat caught the duo in an embrace, realizing who they were looking at once she saw Trudeau\u2019s tattoo.<\/p>\n \u201cShe pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out. I didn\u2019t realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy\u2019s arm, and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau,\u201d they shared with the U.K. outlet.<\/p>\n Trudeau\u2019s left arm ink is a combination of two tattoos, which he tweeted about in March 2012. \u201cMy tattoo is planet Earth inside a Haida raven. The globe I got when I was 23; the Robert Davidson raven for my 40th birthday,\u201d he wrote<\/a> on X. Trudeau\u2019s father, Pierre, was made an honorary member of the Haida tribe in 1976 during his tenure as prime minister, per the BBC.<\/a><\/p>\n The yacht sighting also officially confirmed Perry and Trudeau\u2019s unlikely romance. They were first spotted together by TMZ<\/a> in late July, enjoying a date in Montreal. Two days later, on July 30, he attended Perry\u2019s Lifetimes Tour<\/em> show with his daughter, Ella-Grace.<\/p>\n By August, sources were downplaying the flirtation<\/a> to People<\/a><\/em>. \u201cThey had a casual first get-to-know-you date.
