\u201cI saw her two or three weeks ago, and she was very thin,\u201d Carole Bayer Sager<\/strong> told People<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Sunday, October 12. \u201cShe had lost so much weight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Oscar-winning songwriter, 81 \u2014 who cowrote Keaton\u2019s solo single, \u201cFirst Christmas\u201d \u2014 told the outlet that she had less interaction with the actress this year due to the deadly January wildfires in California. (The track dropped in 2024 alongside co-writer and producer Jonas Myrin<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

Keaton, for her part, spent months in Palm Springs after the devastation. \u201cShe had to go to Palm Springs because her house had been damaged inside, and they had to clean everything,\u201d Sager recalled. \u201cShe was down there for a while, and when she came back, I was kind of stunned by how much weight she\u2019d lost.\u201d<\/p>\n
