Good Morning America<\/em> is teasing a big reveal involving Taylor Swift<\/a>.<\/p>\n On Sunday (Oct. 12), the ABC morning show shared a \u201chuge new exclusive announcement\u201d on social media, hinting at news tied to the 35-year-old pop superstar\u2019s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cTOMORROW: We\u2019re keep it \ud83d\udcaf with an exclusive Taylor Swift announcement! Tune in ONLY on GMA!\u201d the show wrote on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n The post includes a clip from Swift\u2019s \u201cThe Fate of Ophelia\u201d video, accompanied by a voiceover that says, \u201cShe\u2019s at it again. Taylor Swift shattering records with the biggest album debut in history with over four million units. And now tomorrow morning, GMA<\/em> has a huge new exclusive announcement on Taylor. So what\u2019s next for her? Find out on Good Morning America<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n It was unclear at press time whether Swift herself will appear during Monday\u2019s episode of GMA<\/em>.<\/p>\n The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> is off to a record-breaking start following its release on Oct. 3. After setting the single-week modern-era consumption record<\/a> for an album, the project has also broken the modern-era record for the most albums sold in a week<\/a> in the United States, according to initial reports to data tracking firm Luminate.<\/p>\n Showgirls<\/em>\u2018 full final first-week consumption figure (equivalent album units, which includes pure sales, streams and track sales) and pure album sales figure are both still being tabulated by Luminate. But the album already has more than 3.4 million in pure album sales (physical and digital purchases), marking the largest sales week for any album since Luminate began electronically tracking music data in 1991, when the modern era of weekly music tabulation began.<\/p>\n The previous record for modern-era record for single-week sales of an album was held by Adele\u2019s 25<\/em>, which moved 3.378 million copies in its opening week in November 2015.<\/p>\n As for whether a The Life of a Showgirl<\/em> tour is on the horizon, Swift recently shut down that speculation. \u201cNo,\u201d the singer told BBC Radio 1<\/a> on Oct. 3. \u201cI\u2019m going to be really honest with you \u2014 I am so tired.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLike, when I think about doing it again \u2026,\u201d she continued. \u201cBecause I would want to do it really well again.\u201d<\/p>\n Her exhaustion is understandable. Swift\u2019s blockbuster Eras Tour ran from March 2023 through December 2024, spanning 149 shows across five continents. It ultimately became the highest-grossing tour of all time<\/a>, earning over $2 billion and selling more than 10 million tickets, according to Billboard Boxscore.<\/p>\n Good Morning America<\/em> airs weekdays from 7-9 a.m. ET on ABC.
