The late Charlie Kirk<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s wife, Erika Kirk<\/strong><\/a>, is addressing criticism over the way she has publicly grieved her husband\u2019s untimely death<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026there is no linear blueprint for grief. One day you\u2019re collapsed on the floor crying out the name Jesus in between labored breaths,\u201d Erika, 36, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Saturday, October 11. \u201cThe next you\u2019re playing with your children in the living rooms surrounded by family photos, and feeling a rush of something you can only attempt to define as divinely planted and bittersweet joy as a smile breaks through your face.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cThey say time heals. But love doesn\u2019t ask to be healed. Love asks to be remembered. It\u2019s humbling to realize that this magnitude of suffering didn\u2019t steal my love for my husband. It amplified it. It crystallized it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The widow, who shared two young children with the late Turning Point USA co-founder, went on to write that she carries her husband \u201cin every breath, in every ache, and in every quiet act of day to day living as I attempt to relearn what that rhythm will be.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd what I\u2019ve realized through these past 30 days is the greater the suffering, the purer the love,\u201d she concluded. \u201cAnd I have never loved him more than I do now.\u201d<\/p>\n

The moving post was accompanied by a montage of videos featuring the late far-right influencer, as well as snippets of his massive memorial<\/a> held on September 21 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The memorial, which was reportedly attended by as many as 90,000 people, featured appearances by Vice President JD Vance and President Donald Trump, and in addition to many other prominent Trump cabinet members.<\/p>\n

Charlie was shot and killed on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was 31.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s with a heavy heart that we, the Turning Point USA leadership team, write to notify you that early this afternoon, Charlie went to his eternal reward with Jesus Christ in heaven,\u201d a statement from Turning Point USA read at the time, confirming the political activist\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

After a 33-hour manhunt, a 22-year-old suspect<\/a> turned himself into authorities at the behest of his parents, was subsequently arrested and charged for allegedly murdering Charlie. He is currently being held without bail in a Utah jail. If convicted, the 22-year-old faces the death penalty.<\/p>\n
