\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tby Nahlah Abdur-Rahman <\/b><\/a><\/p>\n October 12, 2025<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n Burruss has already made her mark in the theater world as a Broadway producer.<\/p>\n Kandi Burruss is expanding her talents from the reality screen to the Broadway stage.<\/p>\n The former \u201cReal Housewives of Atlanta\u201d star is diving back into theater-acting with her new role in \u201c& Juliet.\u201d Burruss will return to Broadway, this time outside of producing, with a limited run starting \u00a0Dec. 11.<\/p>\n According to Playbill<\/em>, Burruss will take over the role of <\/a>Angelique, currently held by TikToker Cheryl Porter. \u201c& Juliet\u201d is a pop musical that reimagines the classic Shakespearean tale of \u201cRomeo and Juliet.\u201d Its retelling focuses on if its famed female protagonist never died. As for Burruss\u2019 new character, she plays a maternal figure and confidante for the universe\u2019s Juliet.<\/p>\n\n The Grammy winner released a statement on her inclusion in the Broadway breakout hit. Known for her own songwriting chops, the 49-year-old mentioned the play\u2019s use of modern and timeless hits by Max Martin to engage audiences. <\/p>\n \u201cI could not be more thrilled to return to the Broadway stage in this incredible musical,\u201d shared Burruss in a statement. \u201cAs a songwriter myself, I am such a fan of Max Martin\u2019s genius mind, and to get to come back to Broadway in this joyful musical that celebrates his catalog is a dream come true.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Burruss is no novice to the Broadway world. Her first Broadway role was as Matron \u201cMama\u201d Morton in\u00a0\u201cChicago\u201d\u00a0in 2018.
