<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nGoldie Hawn,<\/a> Steve Martin and Jane Fonda were among the many stars who honored Diane Keaton after the legendary actress died at the age of 79.\u00a0<\/p>\n On Saturday, Keaton\u2019s death was reported by People magazine, with the outlet noting that her family had requested privacy.\u00a0<\/p>\n After news broke of Keaton\u2019s passing, there was an outpouring of tributes to the Hollywood legend from her former co-stars and other celebrities.<\/p>\n Hawn, who co-starred with Keaton and Bette Midler in the 1996 hit ensemble comedy \u201cThe First Wives Club,\u201d<\/a> shared an emotional post<\/a> on Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n DIANE KEATON DEAD AT 79 IN CALIFORNIA FOLLOWING LEGENDARY HOLLYWOOD CAREER: REPORT<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n \u201cDiane, we aren\u2019t ready to lose you. You\u2019ve left us with a trail of fairy dust, filled with particles of light and memories beyond imagination,\u201d Hawn wrote alongside a photo of Keaton.\u00a0<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cHow do we say goodbye? What words can come to mind when your heart is broken? You never liked praise, so humble, but now you can\u2019t tell me to \u2018shut up\u2019 honey. There was, and will be, no one like you. You stole the hearts of the world and shared your genius with millions, making films that made us laugh and cry in ways only you could.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI was blessed to make \u2018First Wives Club\u2019\u00a0with you, our days starting with coffee in the makeup trailer, laughing and joking, right through to the very last day of filming,\u201d Hawn added. \u201cIt was a roller coaster of love.<\/p>\n \u201cWe agreed to grow old together, and one day, maybe live together with all our girlfriends,\u201d Hawn wrote. \u201cWell, we never got to live together, but we did grow older together. Who knows\u2026 maybe in the next life.<\/p>\n \u201cShine your fairy dust up there, girlfriend. I\u2019m going to miss the hell out of you. My heart goes out to your beautiful children, Dex and Duke,\u201d the Academy Award winner concluded.\u00a0<\/p>\n Midler also<\/a> paid tribute to Keaton, posting a black-and-white image<\/a> of the actress on her Instagram page along with a heartfelt caption.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThe brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Keaton has died,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star,\u201d Midler added. \u201cWhat you saw was who she was\u2026oh, la, lala!\u201d<\/p>\n Fonda,<\/a> Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen and Don Johnson, who co-starred with Keaton in 2018\u2019s \u201cBook Club\u201d and its 2023 sequel \u201cBook Club: The Next Chapter,\u201d also shared tributes.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s hard to believe\u2026or accept\u2026that Diane has passed,\u201d she wrote in the caption of a photo featuring Keaton.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cShe was always a spark of life and light, constantly giggling at her own foibles, being limitlessly creative\u2026in her acting, her wardrobe, her books, her friends, her homes, her library, her world view,\u201d Fonda continued. \u201cUnique is what she was. And, though she didn\u2019t know it or wouldn\u2019t admit it, man she was a fine actress!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDiane was magic,\u201d Steenburgen wrote in a statement to Fox News Digital. \u201cThere was no one, nor will there ever be, anyone like her. I loved her and felt blessed to be her friend. My love to her family. What a wonder she was!!!\u201d<\/p>\n Bergen also shared a statement with Fox News Digital, writing, \u201cThis is a huge loss both personally and for all of us. Diane was a true artist \u2013 tremendously gifted and uniquely talented in so many disciplines yet also modest and wonderfully eccentric. I will miss her terribly.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDiane Keaton \u2026 what a trip!\u201d\u00a0Johnson told Fox News Digital in a statement. \u201cShe was one of those unique actresses that once she\u2019d realized a character you just couldn\u2019t\u00a0 imagine anyone else\u2019s interpretation.\u00a0 I loved her \u2026 I\u2019ll miss her.\u201d<\/p>\n Martin,<\/a> who played Keaton\u2019s on-screen husband in the hit 1991 comedy \u201cFather of the Bride\u201d and its 1995 sequel \u201cFather of the Bride II,\u201d which also starred Martin Short, shared a humorous remembrance of the actress as he posted a screenshot of quotes from a joint interview with his co-stars.<\/p>\n \u201cWho\u2019s sexier?
