Eric Stonestreet<\/a><\/strong> has suffered a heartbreaking loss following the death of a special friend.<\/p>\n TheModern Family<\/a><\/em> star is sharing his story to shine a light on someone who meant so much to him. Tristan is the reason Lindsay and I met 9.5 years ago. He brought us together. She was his nurse, and I was on a hospital visit for The Big Slick weekend,\u201d began the actor\u2019s caption.<\/p>\n Stonestreet revealed that his friendship with Tristan began the second he met him. The Modern Family <\/em>star recalled being captivated by Tristan\u2019s smile the first time they met years ago.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was non verbal, but said so so much with his gigantic smile and with his enthusiastic full body waves. Tristan passed away this morning after 27 years of a very difficult, surgery and hospitalization filled life,\u201d Stonestreet shared.<\/p>\n Although it seems \u201cunfair\u201d to the actor that Tristan is gone, the impact he had on so many people\u2019s lives, including Stonestreet and his new wife, Lindsay<\/strong>,<\/a> will last forever.<\/p>\n “Lindsay and I just got to share with him last month that we got married and that it was him that made it all happen. We are crushed and heartbroken for his family who had to say goodbye to him this morning. We know Tristan is in heaven, free of pain and finally able to dance to the music he loved so much,\u201d he expressed.<\/p>\n Stonestreet asked that people keep Tristan\u2019s family in their thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. He also asked to show Tristan\u2019s family the love and kindness that social media can bring.<\/p>\n \u201cLet this post and your comments forever be a tribute to the courageous life lived by our pal. \ud83d\udc4b\ud83c\udffb \u2764\ufe0f \ud83d\udc4b\ud83c\udffb,\u201d the Modern Family <\/em>star stated.<\/p>\n The message and tribute to Tristan was filled with familiar faces showing up to give Stonestreet and Tristan\u2019s family some love.<\/p>\n Everybody Loves Raymond<\/em> alum Brad Garrett<\/strong> thanked Stonestreet for introducing him to Tristan.
