5 Seconds of Summer are returning home for exclusive fan events.<\/p>\n

The pop group took to their new Instagram account to reveal the news, writing \u201cAUSTRALIA\u2026 Your favourite boyband is coming home!\u201d<\/p>\n

The post also confirmed the show dates as October 27th in Melbourne and October 29th in Sydney. \u201cEnter via the link in bio for your chance to attend the exclusive fan events,\u201d the post added.<\/p>\n

5SOS\u2019 shows follow the announcement of new album\u00a0Everyone\u2019s a Star!<\/em><\/a>, which is led by comeback single \u201cNOT OK\u201d.<\/p>\n

The new record is the Sydney band\u2019s first with Republic Records which promises 5SOS in their \u201cmost ambitious era yet,\u201d even dubbing this new chapter as \u201c5SOS 2.0\u201d.<\/p>\n

5SOS\u2019 last album,\u00a05SOS5<\/em>, dropped on September 23rd, 2022 and was yet another hit release. The record hit No. 1 in Australia \u2013 their fifth consecutive chart-topper \u2013 and reached No. 1 in the UK and No. 2 in the US.<\/p>\n

In our\u00a0countdown of the\u00a0100 best Australian albums of the 2020s so far<\/a>,\u00a05SOS5<\/em>\u00a0made it to No. 22 on the list, while solo albums from three of the four band members sat pretty in the middle at No. 51, No. 50, and No. 49, respectively.<\/p>\n

Various 5SOS members haven\u2019t been shy about discussing new music with\u00a0Rolling Stone AU\/NZ<\/em>\u00a0in recent interviews.<\/p>\n

Bassist Calum Hood\u00a0gave an update on potential new music<\/a>\u00a0from the Sydney quartet. While discussing his debut solo LP,\u00a0ORDER chaos ORDER<\/em><\/a>, the 29-year-old songwriter hinted at what\u2019s to come next.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re always planning. The 5SOS cog in the music world never stops. In fact, it\u2019s probably the hardest-working cog,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s always conversations going. There\u2019s always people dreaming up things \u2014 \u2018What if we do this, what if we do that?\u2019 So fear not, because there\u2019s always something going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guitarist Michael Clifford also\u00a0told us about the group\u2019s new music<\/a>, hinting that big things are on the way.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so proud to be a part of a band that\u2019s able to do stuff that\u2019s scary, and I\u2019m also proud to even just know the guys because they also release dope fucking music,\u201d he said. \u201cI think that\u2019s the thing that\u2019s most exciting about the next 5SOS record \u2013 nobody has a fucking clue.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
