Paris-based Tamasa Distribution<\/a> is set to release Claude Chabrol<\/a>\u2019s \u201cPremi\u00e8re Vague,\u201d a collection of seven early films, fully restored, as a Blu-ray box set in France on Nov. 18.<\/p>\n

The Blu-ray release, announced on the eve of the Lumiere Film Festival\u2019s International Classic Film Market (Mifc) in Lyon, follows the film collection\u2019s premiere at this year\u2019s La Rochelle Film Festival and a successful theatrical release in France.<\/p>\n

\u201cPremi\u00e8re Vague\u201d comprises the long unavailable titles \u201cLes Biches<\/a>\u201d (1968); \u201cThe Unfaithful Wife<\/a>\u201d (1969); \u201cThis Man Must Die<\/a>\u201d (1969); \u201cThe Butcher<\/a>\u201d (1970); \u201cJust Before Nightfall<\/a>\u201d (1971); \u201cThe Breach<\/a>\u201d (1970); and \u201cWedding in Blood\u201d (1973).<\/p>\n

Tamasa Distribution holds worldwide rights for the newly restored works and is currently in discussions with international distributors and platforms, according to Romane Muller<\/a>, the company\u2019s head of international.<\/p>\n
