They have found a way to bring AI programs into the real world, but they need the Permanence Code to truly bring those programs to life. Ares (Jared Leto) is a sentient security program whose experiences in the real world make him want to become a mortal being. By the end of the movie, Ares has become, essentially, a human being. In a message he writes to Eve, Ares says that he might try to find another being like himself out in the world. That’s a reference to Olivia Wilde’s character Quorra from “Tron: Legacy,” who we last saw riding off on motorcycle with Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund).

Ares’s story ends with a reference to the second “Tron” movie, and Julian Dillinger’s closes with a callback to the first film. In the mid-credits sequence of “Tron: Ares,” Julian claims a new user disc from the Grid. When he does, his body briefly flashes with an image of the armor worn by Sark, aka Master Control, from the first movie. We don’t know if “Tron 4” will ever happen, but those two details from previous “Tron” movies could easily be setting up the next story.

To make sure you didn’t miss those important details, or any of the other fun references layered throughout the movie, check out Looper’s full breakdown video above.

If you enjoyed this article, sign up to our free newsletter for the biggest movie and TV news delivered straight to your inbox.

Read the original article on Looper.

‘ The preceding article may include information circulated by third parties ’

‘ Some details of this article were extracted from the following source www.yahoo.com ’

In 1982 “Tron” took viewers inside a computer-generated world called the Grid, and in “Tron: Ares,” the Grid emerges into our world.
