When Pam Bondi was first announced as Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s pick for attorney general, Ana Navarro<\/a> was a vocal supporter of her nomination on\u00a0The View<\/a>. Revealing they were old drinking buddies in November 2024<\/a>, for example, she said, \u201cI have known Pam Bondi for many, many, many years. I will tell you, I don\u2019t want to ruin her reputation with MAGA people, but Pam Bondi and I hung out a lot when she was attorney general of Florida, and she would come to Miami, we drank a lot together. I liked her a lot. She\u2019s not a kook.\u201d<\/p>\n However, on Monday\u2019s (October 13) edition of\u00a0The View, she sang a very different tune about Bondi.<\/p>\n After reviewing\u00a0Saturday Night Live<\/a>\u2018s latest cold open, which featured the return of Amy Poehler<\/a> and Tina Fey<\/a> as Bondi and Kristi Noem<\/a>, respectively, and Bondi\u2019s social media reaction embracing the impersonation, Navarro offered a new take on Bondi.<\/p>\n \u201cYou saw people skewering them and making fun of them, and Pam Bondi thinks it\u2019s a good thing. And probably for her, with the MAGA base and with Trump, it is a good thing. And I think being skewered and imitated on\u00a0Saturday Night Live, we\u2019ve all been imitated, is kind of like a rite of passage. But I\u2019ve known Pam Bondi a long time. I haven\u2019t spoken to her, obviously, in a few years, but this is a completely different Pam Bondi than the person I knew in Florida who was an affable, nice [person].\u201d<\/p>\n
