The “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” rapper has big plans for Shreveport.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Oct. 10, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson<\/a> posted on Facebook a picture of himself with the caption:<\/p>\n

“This Shreveport idea is getting bigger and bigger<\/a>, I’m gonna turn this city all the way up.”<\/p>\n

The post garnered more than 17,000 likes and 2,700 comments with 710 shares.<\/p>\n

This post comes a year after Jackson purchased several properties across Shreveport’s downtown<\/a> and entered into lease agreements with the city on two downtown buildings.<\/p>\n

In April 2024, Jackson entered into an agreement with the City of Shreveport to lease the city-owned production studio Millennium Studios for 30 years at a yearly rate of $2,400.<\/p>\n

In April 2025, Jackson’s G-Unit Films entered a lease agreement on the former soundstage for $2,400 for 30 years with an option to renew for an additional 15 years.<\/p>\n

On Sept. 23, 2025, the Shreveport City Council approved the establishment of an economic development district in downtown Shreveport. A 2% local sales tax within the district will fund redevelopment projects.<\/p>\n

Jackson said on Instagram, “Positive vibes all roads lead to SHREVEPORT art, entertainment, music film&Television.”<\/p>\n
