Donna Farizan<\/a> has been busy since her Today<\/a> With Jenna & Friends<\/em> exit.<\/p>\n On September 8, Farizan surprised Today<\/em> viewers by announcing she was leaving<\/a> the NBC morning show\u2019s fourth hour. \u201cA year ago, I launched a series called \u2018Own Your Power,\u2019 where I challenged myself to speak my truth,\u201d she shared. \u201cAnd now, after 12 years with Today<\/em>, I\u2019m challenging myself to spread my wings beyond the show to see what new and exciting opportunities await me professionally.\u201d<\/p>\n To celebrate the beginning of her post-Today<\/em> era, Farizan launched a new social media series titled \u201cInterning at Life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTaking an internship on life. Follow my 90-day journey in my stories & reels and lmk if there\u2019s anything you recommend I try! Xoxo,\u201d she wrote via Instagram<\/a> on September 29.<\/p>\n She kicked off the series by challenging herself to interact more with the group of friends she was traveling with, rather than reverting to her usual travel habits. \u201cI am an extrovert. However, I do have my moments where I need to introvert. One of those moments is when I\u2019m traveling with a group,\u201d she explained in a September 26 TikTok<\/a> upload. \u201cI typically like to just listen to my music, zone out, visualize however I want whatever I\u2019m doing to go.\u201d<\/p>\n For Day 2<\/a> out of 90 of \u201cInterning at Life,\u201d Farizan tried a new workout with friends. In a September 29 TikTok<\/a> video, Farizan shared that she launched a ShopMy<\/a> account for Day 4, allowing fans to shop for the fashion she sports in her uploads.<\/p>\n More of Farizan\u2019s \u201cInterning at Life\u201d activities have included trying puppy yoga, taking wellness classes, going to a Jesse McCartney<\/a> concert, cooking new recipes, going on a friend date with her neighbor, and attending her elementary school reunion.<\/p>\n For her latest installment of \u201cInterning at Life,\u201d Farizan lent a helping hand at the grill while visiting her family in the suburbs. \u201cIt smells like s\u2019mores and ghost stories, except it\u2019s just hot dogs and hamburgers,\u201d she quipped in a Sunday, October 12, TikTok<\/a> clip as smoke blew in her face.<\/p>\n Farizan previously shared her excitement about \u201cinterning at life\u201d during her final episode<\/a> of Jenna & Friends<\/em>. \u201cI\u2019m going to take the same curiosity and enthusiasm and hunger that I have and see what\u2019s next,\u201d she said on the show.<\/p>\n Farizan went on to tease her career future while thanking Jenna & Friends<\/em> fans for their support over the years. \u201cYou are the one constant of this show. I want to thank you for growing up with me. I will continue to share my voice. I will continue to bet on myself, as I\u2019ll encourage you to do as well. I will continue to entertain with value and provide both light and depth. And I hope you will follow me on my journey because we\u2019re all in this together,\u201d she said. \u201cThis path is sweeter and more fulfilling because of you, and we\u2019ve got a long runway ahead.
