Nonesuch Records releases the soundtrack to\u00a0Luca Guadagnino<\/strong>\u2019s film\u00a0After the Hunt<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>digitally on\u00a0October 10<\/strong>; it will be available on CD from\u00a0October 17<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0After the Hunt<\/em>\u00a0stars\u00a0Julia Roberts<\/strong>,\u00a0Ayo Edebiri<\/strong>,\u00a0Andrew Garfield<\/strong>,\u00a0Michael Stuhlbarg<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Chlo\u00eb Sevigny<\/strong>, and opens in cinemas from\u00a0October 17<\/strong>, following its world premiere at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival.\u00a0 The album features the score by\u00a0Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross<\/strong>, a selection of works by the composer\u00a0John Adams<\/strong>, as well as additional music from the film by\u00a0Ambitious From visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino,\u00a0After the Hunt<\/em>\u00a0is a gripping psychological drama about a college professor (Julia Roberts) who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star student (Ayo Edebiri) levels an accusation against one of her colleagues (Andrew Garfield), and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come into the light.\u00a0\u00a0After the Hunt<\/em>\u00a0is written by Nora Garrett.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI was excited to make a movie about now,\u201d Guadagnino says. \u201cAfter the Hunt<\/em>\u00a0is a thriller that asks not what is the truth of this event but how many truths are there?\u00a0 And who should decide which is right?\u00a0 And, as a filmmaker, it was also a way of exploring how to tell a story showing all the possibilities of truth without saying one point-of-view is most valuable.\u201d<\/p>\n The film\u2019s suspense, feeling, and questioning is heightened by the texturally inventive score from the two-time Oscar-winning team of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.\u00a0 This marks the fourth film Reznor and Ross have scored for Guadagnino.\u00a0 \u201cI always show Trent and Atticus the full movie without any music first.\u00a0 Then we start talking about principles and ideas,\u201d Guadagnino explains.\u00a0 \u201cIn this case it was all about creating doubt.\u00a0 They brought me these extraordinary piano notes that underline the question of do we believe this person or not.\u00a0 This theme of doubt starts up in the first scene and keeps expanding.\u00a0 And then, around the structure they created, we brought in pop music as well as contemporary composers like John Adams.\u201d<\/p>\n Adams\u2019 music has featured in\u00a0almost all of Guadagnino\u2019s work, beginning with\u00a0I Am Love<\/em>\u00a0(2009). \u00a0\u00a0Inspired by and scored entirely to Adams\u2019 pre-existing music, this was the first time Adams had allowed his work to be used in this way.\u00a0 Guadagnino subsequently featured pieces by Adams in his films\u00a0A Bigger Splash<\/em>\u00a0(2015),\u00a0Call My Be Your Name<\/em>\u00a0(2017), throughout the eight episodes of his miniseries\u00a0We Are Who We Are<\/em>\u00a0(2020), as well as the documentaries\u00a0Inconscio Italiano<\/em>\u00a0(2011) and\u00a0Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams<\/em>\u00a0(2020).<\/p>\n career as a director, writer, producer, and designer has been defined by rigorous dedication to artistic craft and creative experimentation.\u00a0 Celebrated for his bold and emotionally resonant work, his films include\u00a0The Protagonists<\/em>\u00a0(1999),\u00a0I Am Love<\/em>\u00a0(2009),\u00a0A Bigger Splash<\/em>\u00a0(2015),\u00a0Call Me by Your Ross are accomplished musicians, composers and producers who have achieved significant popular and critical success in both film and rock music.\u00a0 Most recently, the duo composed the scores for Luca Guadagnino\u2019s\u00a0Challengers\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Queer<\/em>.\u00a0 Both scores received wide acclaim, with\u00a0Challengers\u00a0<\/em>winning Golden Globe and Critics Choice awards, as well as a GRAMMY nomination.\u00a0 Over the years, the pair has composed music for a diverse array of film and television projects, beginning with David Fincher\u2019s\u00a0The Social Network\u00a0<\/em>(2010), which earned them an Academy Award and a Golden Globe.\u00a0 Their next collaboration with Fincher,\u00a0The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo<\/em>\u00a0(2013), earned them a GRAMMY Award.\u00a0 Beyond their work in film, Reznor founded the iconic band Nine Inch Nails in 1988.\u00a0 Ross joined Reznor and the band in 2016.<\/p>\n John Adams occupies a unique position in the world of music.\u00a0 His\u00a0works are among the most performed of all contemporary classical music,\u00a0long embraced by the world\u2019s leading orchestras and conductors, instrumental soloists and singers, choreographers, and opera directors.\u00a0 Nonesuch Records\u00a0made its first record with Adams in 1985.\u00a0 \u00a0He was signed exclusively to the label that year, and since
