The friend added, \u201cIn her final months, she was surrounded only by her closest family, who chose to keep things very private. Even longtime friends weren\u2019t fully aware of what was happening.\u201d<\/p>\n
Keaton and Nicholson, who turned 88 on April 22, played romantic leads in 2003\u2019s Something\u2019s Gotta Give<\/em>. The Nancy Meyers<\/strong>-directed rom-com also starred Keanu Reeves<\/strong>, Amanda Peet<\/strong>, Frances McDormand<\/strong>, Jon Favreau<\/strong>, Paul Michael Glaser<\/strong>, Rachel Ticotin<\/strong>, KaDee Strickland<\/strong> and Peter Spears<\/strong>, and ultimately earned Keaton a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2004 Oscars.<\/p>\nYears before Keaton\u2019s death, Meyers recalled the actress\u2019 undeniable chemistry with Nicholson on set, particularly during the scene where their characters professed their love for each other.<\/p>\n
