The Band Perry is \u2014 once again \u2014 about to look a little bit different as Reid Perry<\/strong> has just announced he is separating from the band.<\/p>\n The sibling singer and talented bassist, who served as one of the original members of the award-winning country music trio, revealed the surprising news on Monday, October 13, in a post on Instagram, sharing a black and white photo of himself onstage with his back facing the camera and feeding off the energy of a huge crowd.<\/p>\n In his caption, Reid, 36, directed his attention toward the fans before disclosing his reasons for parting ways with the beloved family band. He said, “To the fans, you\u2019ve always been my favorite part of this. I\u2019ve decided to leave TBP (The Band Perry).\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll be missing seeing you in the crowd at a Band Perry show, but I\u2019ll be around, managing a new voice I believe in more than anything, Ryan Coleman<\/strong>,” he added, sharing his reason for exiting the group, revealing that he will now pursue artist management, lending his expertise to Coleman, a rising country artist, who previously appeared on Season 25 of NBC\u2019s The Voice<\/em>.<\/p>\n “For me, it was and will always be about making great country music, with and for the hardworking people who love it and live it,\u201d Perry noted before closing out his message and wishing his sister, Kimberly Perry<\/strong>, who fronts TBP, the best of luck. \u201cThank you for every memory. Kimberly\u2019s husband, Johnny Costello<\/strong>, has since served as Neil\u2019s replacement. At this point, it is unclear who will take up Reid\u2019s slot in the trio.<\/p>\n The Band Perry formed in 2005 and broke into the country music scene with their 2010 breakout hit, \u201cIf I Die Young.\u201d They subsequently released chart-topping hits like \u201cBetter Dig Two\u201d and \u201cYou Lie\u201d and went on to earn top honors at the Academy of Country Music Awards and the CMA Awards.
