A beloved British sitcom<\/strong> will make its long-awaited comeback after 15 years. The revival ushers in a new era for the hit comedy. It reunites the original creators and teases fresh adventures for its unforgettable characters.<\/p>\n The Inbetweeners creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris have confirmed the comedy\u2019s return after more than a decade. Fudge Park Productions partnered with Banijay UK to \u201cpave the way for the return of the hit comedy.\u201d In a joint statement, the two said, \u201cIncredibly exciting to be plotting more adventures for our four favourite friends (ooh friends)\u201d (via The Independent<\/a>).<\/p>\n According to Banijay UK, the new agreement unlocks rights \u201cto bring The Inbetweeners back for new audiences across a range of platforms including film, TV, and stage.\u201d Banijay UK CEO Patrick Holland said he was \u201cdelighted to pick up the conversation about the future of The Inbetweeners.\u201d He added that the creators\u2019 \u201cinfectious creative vision for the brand\u201d will connect with both longtime and new fans.<\/p>\n The original E4 sitcom aired between 2008 and 2010. It followed four friends: Will McKenzie (Simon Bird), Simon Cooper (Joe Thomas), Neil Sutherland (Blake Harrison), and Jay Cartwright (James Buckley).<\/p>\n The show became a cultural phenomenon and won a BAFTA Audience Award. It also inspired two hit films, The Inbetweeners Movie (2011) and The Inbetweeners 2 (2014).
