Molly Shannon<\/strong><\/a><\/span> is paying tribute to Diane Keaton<\/span><\/a><\/strong> by recalling a special conversation she had with the late actress.<\/p>\n \u201c@diane_keaton What a one of a kind, legend, inspiration. So generous to ALL women,\u201d Shannon, 61, wrote via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on Monday, October 13. \u201cThis is what she was like \u2014 so kind to other female performers. I love how she LOVED TURTLENECKS\u2764\ufe0f!!\u201d<\/p>\n Keaton died in California<\/span><\/a> at the age of 79, a spokesperson for her family confirmed to People<\/i><\/span><\/a> on Saturday, October 11. But I just Zoom interviewed Steve Martin<\/strong><\/a> for his new graphic novel for independent bookstores with a big virtual audience,\u201d Shannon wrote to the Oscar winner. \u201cAsked him what it was like to work with you, and he said you made his heart pound and basically how everyone felt that way about you hanging on every word of yours. \u2026 Just wanted to tell you. He just was singing your praises to all!\u201d<\/p>\n Keaton would later reply to the message by acknowledging the compliment, but also sharing a new one in return.<\/p>\n \u201cThat is SO SWEET!!!\u201d Keaton replied. \u201cMore like how amazing YOU ARE!
