Justin Trudeau has been “pursuing” Katy Perry since their first date, as the pair have an “easy connection,”<\/a> a source has said.<\/p>\n

The former Canadian prime minister, 53, and the singer<\/a>, 40, were seen kissing<\/a> on the upper deck of Katy’s yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara in California<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Back in July, the pair were spotted walking a dog together and dining at Le Violon in Montreal, Canada – and Justin then attended Katy’s Lifetimes tour stop at the Bell Centre. <\/a><\/p>\n

Their outings began shortly after each had ended a long-term relationship. Perry confirmed in June that she and actor Orlando Bloom had split. The two share a five-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n

Justin also announced his separation from Sophie Gr\u00e9goire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They share three children together.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The source added that after their first date in Montreal, the former PM had been “pursuing” Katy, adding that he even flew to California<\/a> to see her during a tour break.<\/p>\n

“They have an easy connection,” the insider said. “She finds him attractive. He’s been very respectful.”<\/p>\n

Back in August, a source familiar with the situation told People<\/a> the two had an “instant connection” and were exploring their interest in each other.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“They are interested in each other, but it will take a while to see where this goes,” the source said.<\/p>\n

“She is traveling around the world, and he is figuring out his life now that he is no longer prime minister of Canada, but there is an attraction. They have a lot in common.”<\/p>\n

The source added that both have shared parenting duties. They said, “There are ways to see the other and still fulfill their parenting responsibilities.”<\/p>\n
