Following 2022\u2019s seventh album The End, So Far<\/a>, Slipknot<\/a> hopefully appear to be in a good spot when it comes to new music \u2013 their first with their latest recruit Eloy Casagrande<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Drummer\u2019s Review \u2013 which you can watch below \u2013 Eloy confirms that \u201cwe are cooking, we are doing some new music, for sure\u201d. While he doesn\u2019t give any specifics or timelines, he continues: \u201cSince I joined the band, we have been working on some new ideas. We keep exchanging guitar riffs, drum beats, so we are always doing something. We had also some jam sessions. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo, we have a lot of material right now. We just have to sit and put everything together, start jamming, and it\u2019s happening. It already happened. It\u2019s gonna happen in the future. So new material is coming, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

In May 2024, after announcing that Eloy was joining the ranks, the band revealed that they\u2019d written a new song entitled Long May You Die<\/a>. The following month, Clown said that material was coming \u201creally soon\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can say that there\u2019s gonna be music sooner than you can imagine, delivered to you in a way you can\u2019t imagine,\u201d he told Revolver<\/a>. \u201cAnd I\u2019m excited because we\u2019re not on a label. And there\u2019s a lot of dismay with that, you know what I mean? But there\u2019s also a lot of middle fingers with that. I love it, you know? Come and get us, or we’ll come to get you!\u201d<\/p>\n
