Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are “always FaceTiming and messaging each other<\/a>” when they can’t be together due to work commitments, a source has said.<\/p>\n

The singer<\/a>, 40, and former Canadian<\/a> prime minister, 53, first connected over the summer when they were spotted together in Montreal.<\/p>\n

But rumors of a relationship heated up over the weekend when the pair were seen sharing a steamy kiss on board Katy’s yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California.<\/a><\/p>\n

An insider has now said Katy and Justin have been secretly dating since the start of the summer. Even though they can’t be together all the time, since the pop star is on her Lifetimes Tour, they are “constantly in contact.”<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Sun<\/a>, the source said, ” They haven’t been able to spend a lot of time together as she\u2019s on tour, but they’re constantly in contact – always FaceTiming and messaging each other.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It comes as a source revealed that the two have an “easy connection” and that while Katy wasn’t looking to date when they first hung out, they stayed in touch.<\/p>\n

The insider told People<\/a>, “When she first hung out with Justin, she wasn’t looking to date, but they stayed in touch.<\/p>\n

“They have many shared interests and a lot of talk about, but Katy was navigating too many things to even think about dating then.”<\/p>\n

The source added that after their first date in Montreal, the former PM had been “pursuing” Katy, adding that he even flew to California<\/a> to see her during a tour break.<\/p>\n

“They have an easy connection,” the insider said. “She finds him attractive. He’s been very respectful.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Back in August, a source familiar with the situation told People<\/a> the two had an “instant connection” and were exploring their interest in each other.<\/p>\n
