Brothers Alec and Stephen Baldwin were involved in a car crash on in East Hampton, New York, on Monday. <\/p>\n
According to TMZ, <\/a>Alec Baldwin, 67, was driving a white Range Rover SUV with Stephen, 59, in the passenger seat when struck the vehicle struck a tree head-on.<\/p>\n Photos taken at the scene show the front end of the SUV as severely damaged. <\/p>\n The brothers spoke to police on the scene and both appeared to not have any serious, visible injuries. <\/p>\n The pair were reportedly in town for the Hamptons International Film Festival, which ran from Oct. 5-13. <\/p>\n In a video later shared to Instagram<\/a>, Alec Baldwin said that he hit the tree in order to avoid hitting a garbage truck \u201cthe size of a whale.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cIt must have been something commercial, like taking away material from construction or something. It was the biggest garbage truck I\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d he said. \u201cTo avoid hitting him, I hit a tree, I hit a big, fat tree.\u201d<\/p>\n Baldwin said his brother are both fine, but that he crushed his wife\u2019s SUV in the accident. <\/p>\n Baldwin also thanked local police officers that responded to the crash, adding that he next plans to go to Los Angeles to spend time with his family. <\/p>\n A representative for Stephen Baldwin told TMZ that the actor is \u201cdoing fine and is grateful no one was injured.
