With the forty-fifth anniversary of <\/span>Andrzej \u017bu\u0142awski\u2019s <\/span>Possession<\/span><\/i><\/a> arriving next year, there\u2019s no better time to celebrate the psychological horror film than now, and that\u2019s exactly what goth rock band <\/span>Blood Vulture<\/span><\/a> intends to do. They\u2019ve just released their latest single, \u201cBurn For It,\u201d featuring Brian Fair, and FANGORIA is excited to premiere the song\u2019s new music video, which stars Sleigh Bells\u2019 Alexis Krauss and channels Isabelle Adjani\u2019s violent breakdown from the 1981 film.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The video is directed by Blood Vulture\u2019s lead singer Jordan Olds, the latest in a series that also includes their songs \u201cGrey Mourning,\u201d \u201cA Dream About Starving To Death,\u201d and \u201cDie Close,\u201d all from their debut album of the same name.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAlmost every shot in the video is a recreation of a scene from the movie paced to the music. For decades, it was so difficult to actually watch the movie. It was banned in the US when it originally came out and then it wasn’t allowed on streaming for a long time,\u201d says Olds. \u201cNow thanks to Kino Lorber and Metrograph, there’s tons of screenings and streaming services (including the free ones from the library) showing the full version. I consider it to be one of the great masterpieces in alternative cinema with two of the best on screen performances of all time and my favorite camera work ever.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis whole idea was basically a Trojan horse to get people excited about that movie again. I also couldn’t be more grateful to my friend Alexis Krauss for trusting me with this idea and giving so much time and energy to this. It takes a special kind of artist and a special kind of talent to find a way to be fully compelling for 5 entire minutes by themselves and Alexis is that kind of special.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Blood Vulture is currently touring with <\/span>GWAR<\/span><\/a>, Helmet, and Dwarves on their Return of Gor Gor Tour, playing twenty-six dates across the United States and Canada from October 18 to November 22.
