Barcelona and Spotify are back with their seventh jersey takeover, and the latest artist to feature is none other than\u00a0Ed Sheeran.\u00a0The English singer-songwriter becomes the first solo male pop artist to front Bar\u00e7a\u2019s iconic blaugrana, with the logo from his brand-new studio album Play<\/em> taking centre stage during El Cl\u00e1sico<\/em> on 26 October.\u00a0The Play<\/em> logo will debut on the women\u2019s side first though, when FC Barcelona Femen\u00ed face Granada in their Liga F clash on 19 October 19.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n Marking Sheeran\u2019s eighth album release, Play<\/em> channels a spirit of joy and cultural connection \u2014 a theme that strikes in tune with Bar\u00e7a\u2019s own global reach and expressive footballing identity. A limited-edition Spotify x Ed Sheeran x FC Barcelona<\/em> capsule collection drops alongside the kit, featuring 1,899 jerseys \u2014 a nod to the club\u2019s founding year \u2014 and apparel that draws inspiration from Bar\u00e7a heritage and Sheeran\u2019s creative journey. A retro-inspired jersey riffing on the 2004\/05 season, the period when Ed first began recording, leads the collection.<\/p>\n Fans can also expect a special edition of Bar\u00e7a\u2019s matchday playlist \u2014 this time curated by Ed himself.
