{"id":2090897,"date":"2025-10-14T18:15:41","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T18:15:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2090897"},"modified":"2025-10-14T18:15:41","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T18:15:41","slug":"big-g-dean-rock-with-sounds-of-queens-memorable-music-at-amarillo-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/big-g-dean-rock-with-sounds-of-queens-memorable-music-at-amarillo-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Big G &#038; Dean rock with sounds of Queen\u2019s memorable music at Amarillo event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div data-article-body=\"true\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts came alive Saturday, Oct. 11 with the sounds of the \u201870s band Queen \u2014 including the memorable guitar work of Bryan May and voice of Freddie Mercury \u2014 covered by Big G, or Greg Wright, and Dean Yates, with band members from both of their groups including Mary Lyn Halley, Dr. Dan Hanson, Cathleen Tyson-Day, Vic Ricardson and Miranda Pjesky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The co-op band was a result of Yates reaching out to Big G to do a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/amarillo-bands-collaborate-queen-concert-153209415.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:special night of music for Queen lovers;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">special night of music for Queen lovers<\/a>. Yates said that he was on a trip in Colorado when he heard a Queen group, and he couldn\u2019t stop thinking about it. He was able to purchase a Fractal for his amp, which mimicked the iconic guitar sounds. For the vocals, he enlisted Big G, who was able to hit the needed high notes. Big G belted out some haunting vocals easily and without a flaw.
