American actor and film producer, Alec Baldwin<\/strong>, got into a car accident<\/strong> in East Hampton, New York, on October 13, 2025, when he crashed his wife Hilaria\u2019s<\/a> white Range Rover<\/strong> into a tree.<\/p>\n Luckily, Baldwin and his brother Stephen Baldwin, who was riding shotgun, walked away unharmed.<\/p>\n Alec later took to Instagram to explain what happened, blaming the crash on a huge garbage truck that cut him off.<\/p>\n He described the truck as \u201cthe size of a whale,\u201d saying he had to swerve to avoid it, which caused him to hit the tree.<\/p>\n In an Instagram video, Alec Baldwin broke down what happened before the crash. He said, \u201cThis morning, I got into a car accident. Some guy cut me off in a truck \u2014 a huge garbage truck. I mean, a garbage truck the size of a whale.\u201d He added, \u201cTo avoid hitting him, I hit a tree. I hit a big fat tree, and crushed my car \u2014 my wife\u2019s car<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Even though the front of the Range Rover took a hit, Baldwin reassured fans that he and his brother are fine. Alec also apologized for wrecking Hilaria\u2019s car and thanked the local cops for helping out at the scene.<\/p>\n The crash happened during a nor\u2019easter hitting the greater New York City area, which likely made driving more difficult. Baldwin was in town for the Hamptons International Film Festival, where he serves on the executive board.<\/p>\n Alec Baldwin\u2019s life has had its share of high-profile drama, including the 2021 on-set shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during the filming of Rust.
