Patricia Arquette<\/strong><\/a> is the latest star to share her memories of the late Diane Keaton<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was just so immediate, and so alive and so generous,\u201d the Severance actress told People<\/a> on Monday, October 13.<\/p>\n

Keaton directed Arquette, 57, in a 1991 television movie, Wildflower, which costarred Beau Bridges<\/strong> and Reese Witherspoon<\/strong> and aired on Lifetime. Keaton also directed Arquette in a 1990 episode of CBS Schoolbreak Special titled \u201cThe Girl With the Crazy Brother,\u201d per People.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was just so effervescent and so alive,\u201d Arquette continued to describe her fellow Oscar winner, who died at age 79<\/a> on Saturday, October 11, noting that Keaton \u201chad no pretenses\u201d and had \u201csuch an incredible vision for beauty and design and photography and art.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Boyhood actress went on to praise Keaton\u2019s remarkable of body of work<\/a>, including her Oscar-winning role in Annie Hall.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat an actress. If you watch Reds or Looking for Mr. Goodbar, you know?\u201d Arquette said. \u201cAll the comedies, but also of course Annie Hall and The Godfather, I mean her acting is incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to ditch school so I could see Reds,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Also on Monday, Keaton\u2019s Something\u2019s Gotta Give costar Keanu Reeves<\/strong><\/a> and director Nancy Meyers<\/strong><\/a> remembered the star two days after her death.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese past 48 hours have not been easy,\u201d wrote the director. \u201cSeeing all of your tributes to Diane has been a comfort. As a movie lover, I\u2019m with you all \u2014 we have lost a giant. A brilliant actress who time and again laid herself bare to tell our stories. As a woman, I lost a friend of almost 40 years \u2014 at times over those years, she felt like a sister because we shared so many truly memorable experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a filmmaker, I\u2019ve lost a connection with an actress that one can only dream of,\u201d she went on. \u201cWe all search for that someone who really gets us, right? Well, with Diane, I believe we mutually had that. I always felt she really got me, so writing for her made me better because I felt so secure in her hands. I knew how vulnerable she could be. And I knew how hilarious she could be, not only with dialogue (which she said word for word as written but managed to always make it sound improvised) but she could be funny sitting at a dinner table or just walking into a room.\u201d<\/p>\n

Like Arquette, Meyers praised Keaton\u2019s work in Annie Hall (1979), for which Keaton won the Oscar for Best Actress, and Reds (1981), directed by Warren Beatty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cDiane did exactly the same for them because that is what she does. She goes deep. And I know those who have worked with her know what I know\u2026 she made everything better. Every set up, every day, in every movie, I watched her give it her all,\u201d Meyers said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was fearless, she was like nobody ever, she was born to be a movie star, her laugh could make your day and for me, knowing her and working with her changed my life. Thank you, Di. I\u2019ll miss you forever,\u201d the director concluded her post.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
