Carrie Preston<\/a> said Julia Roberts<\/a> was \u201cmean\u201d to her on the set of 2009\u2019s Duplicity<\/a>, but she had a good reason.<\/p>\n

During a recent interview on Jesse Tyler Ferguson<\/a>\u2019s Dinner\u2019s on Me podcast, the actress recounted her experience working with the Oscar winner on the 2009 film as well as 1997\u2019s My Best Friend\u2019s Wedding<\/a>, which was Preston<\/a>\u2019s first movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were 27, 28 years old at that time. And she was at the top of her game that young. And boy did she show it. That was a movie star,\u201d Preston said of Roberts<\/a>. \u201cI was very nervous around her, but she was such a pro.\u201d She added that they connected over both being young actresses from Georgia while filming the P.J. Hogan<\/a>-directed rom-com.<\/p>\n

But when they reunited years later for Duplicity<\/a>, she described it as \u201cinteresting,\u201d partly because she was only on set a few days to film her \u201cwonderful cameo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
