Slipknot<\/a>\u2019s powerhouse drummer Eloy Casagrande<\/a> has confirmed that the Iowan ninesome are currently \u201ccooking\u201d up new music.<\/p>\n

The masked metallers haven\u2019t unleashed new music since their seventh studio album \u2018The End, So Far\u2019 in September 2022, and since then former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande has joined their ranks, replacing the ousted Jay Weinberg.<\/p>\n

Slipknot confirmed the existence of a song called \u2018Long May You Die\u2019 almost 17 months ago, but the ominously titled track is yet to see the light of day.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, in a new interview with Drummer\u2019s Review<\/a>, Brazilian skinsman Eloy Casagrande said Slipknot\u2019s creative juices are flowing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I can tell you right now is that we are cooking, we are doing some new music, for sure. Yes, we are,\u201d Eloy said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince I joined the band, we have been working on some new ideas. We keep exchanging guitar riffs, drumbeats, so we are always doing something.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had also some jam sessions. So, we have a lot of material right now. We just have to sit and put everything together, start jamming, and it\u2019s happening. It already happened. It\u2019s gonna happen in the future. So new material is coming, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in July, Eloy Casagrande played percussion with Mastodon during their performance of Black Sabbath\u2019s \u2018Supernaut\u2019 at the Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park.<\/p>\n

Nameless Ghoul Aether unmasked<\/h4>\n

In May 2022, Yorkshire musician Chris Catalyst revealed he had been masquerading as the Nameless Ghoul Aetha<\/a> on Ghost’s tours. Following the final arena date of Ghost’s European Imperatour at L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Papp Budapest Sports Arena in Hungary, Catalyst shared a group photo backstage and wrote: “Amaaaazing tour with our wonderful Ghost family. I suppose that’s that particular cat out of the bag. So great to be doing this again. Playing this fantastic music with these brilliant people makes me run out of superlatives.” In June 2023, Catalyst confirmed he’s no longer a touring member of Ghost.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Chris Catalyst’s end of tour photo also confirmed that Ghost’s Nameless Ghoul lead guitarist, Fire (formerly Alpha), is former Bloodbath guitarist Per Eriksson. Fans have also given the Swedish musician’s character the nickname Sodo. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

When he’s performing live with Rob Zombie, guitarist John 5 wears makeup and masks onstage, including this Aliens-esque guise at Download Festival in 2014. The 52-year-old musician has recently been recruited as a touring member of M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce<\/a> and he’s performing sans makeup on stage. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In February 2023, former Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora was unveiled as Jacket Potato<\/a> on ITV show The Masked Singer. Speaking about his involvement in the show, Richie Sambora said: “It took a little getting used to (singing in a potato), but once I put it on, that was it! It’s a wild reality when you do this show, it’s a gas. Everyone has treated me so good here. I’ve had a ball! It’s been a lot of fun.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
